Norbaeocystin

Norbaeocystin is a N-demethylated derivative of baeocystin (itself a N-demethylated derivative of psilocybin) that has been isolated from Psilocybe baeocystis grown in submerged cultures.[29] When dephosphorylated forms 4-hydroxytryptamine.[29] It is found as a minor compound in most psilocybin mushrooms.[29] It is not expected to contribute to psychedelic effects due to poor› blood-brain barrier penetrability and/or rapid metabolism by MAO.[63]
